About This Event
Join us for the Rocky Fish and Game Association 10th Annual Ice Fishing Derby! This family-friendly event is open to everyone. Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories. No fishing license required this Family Day weekend courtesy of the Alberta government.
Cost
$10 per person or $20 per immediate family (includes GST)
What to Expect
- Registration: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the registration tent
- Derby fishing hours: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- All fishing must be within 800 meters of the weigh station (southeast corner)
- Catch and release only - barbless hooks required
- Maximum 5 rainbow trout and 5 yellow perch per person
- Fish must be brought live to the weigh station in a cooler with lake water
- Free hot dogs and refreshments from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
- No pets please
- Bring warm clothes and be careful on the ice!
